Note that the piece is discounted and considered 2nd grade, as during firing, the bowl has turned from circular to slightly oval shape, and has a somewhat wonky look.
This bowl is carefully handcrafted and brought to life in a traditional wood-fired anagama-kiln, undergoing several days of continuous firing. This method, in which intense live flames and flying ash are in direct contact with the ceramic works, results in each piece becoming truly one of a kind.
