Flask #2, natural ash and soda glaze

€120.00

A small flask or bottle with a rare naturally occurring pattern. Can be also used as a bud vase for a single flower. The anagama kiln has blessed this piece with some very special tree-like (or perhaps a lightning?) shapes on the surface, which are the result of ash and soda reacting and flowing during the long firing.

This flask is carefully handcrafted and brought to life in a traditional wood-fired anagama-kiln, undergoing several days of continuous firing. The organic patterns, textures and colours of the glaze are created by wood ash settling on the surface during firing. The intense heat and movement of the flames result in a finish that is completely unique to each piece.

Height 11 cm
Width 9,5 cm
Weight 204 g

The glaze is food safe. Washing by hand is recommended.
