A side-handled teapot (kyūsu) with natural ash glaze. The teapot has a fine-meshed ceramic strainer attached to the inside of the pot.
The size is fitting for approximately four small cups of tea.
This cup is carefully handcrafted and brought to life in a traditional wood-fired anagama-kiln, undergoing several days of continuous firing. This method, in which intense live flames and flying ash are in direct contact with the ceramic works, results in each piece becoming truly one of a kind.
